We've all been thinking about what a great idea a studio tour would be... ...now it's time to JUST DO IT! The FHAA is excited to announce we will soon be launching our First Annual Artist Studio Tour and Sealed Bid Auction for charity. For the first time since the inception of Fountain Hills, plans are underway for providing an exceptional venue for all FHAA artists to showcase their outstanding work as well as contribute to our town's local charitable organizations. Art media presented will include oil painting, acrylics, watercolors, pastels, sculptures, woodworking, photography...just to name a few. Targeted for January of 2009, the FHAA has chosen the Fountain Hills School District's Visual Arts Department as the recipient of it's 1st Annual Fountain Hills Artists Studio Tour! This promises to be an exciting event! All participating juried Fountain Hills artists in good standing with FHAA will be opening their studios or homes for this occasion and will ALSO donate a work of their art in their studios for a sealed bid auction. At the close of the tour the lucky winners will be announced and awarded their works of art that will be cherished for a lifetime. How Does Our Community of Fountain Hills Beneift? For this first annual event, all proceeds of the sealed bid auctions and individual donations will go directly to the Fountain Hills School District Visual Arts Department. The 2009 Studio Tour is being provided as one of several significant ways the FHAA hopes to enhance and support art programs for the youth of Fountain Hills who desire to express their creative talents through the visual arts.
