Participation is currently available only to Fountain Hills artists and their guests who agree to be juried.

If you wish to be a part of our annual tours, please contact us via this brief  form . This form was also sent via U.S. mail in March, 2008 to all known local artists.

The 2008 jury session is tentatively scheduled for the middle of August, 2008. The jury fee is $25.00. Submission packets are due no later than August 1, 2008 to be considered for the January/February 2009 tour. The tour participation fee is $300.00 per artist.
Artist Benefits
  • Your tour participation fee will go directly to advertising the tour as well as help cover costs to organize and promote future tours.
  • FHAA artists will receive one studio tour tshirt, one copy of the featured artist poster as well as a limited number of brochures for use at your discretion.
  • Accepted artists are encouraged to provide FHAA with up to three digital images (.jpg format only) of their art and write-up for inclusion on the FHAA website once you have been accepted by the jury. You may also provide a link to your own art website. This will be the only place available to showcase your art prior to the studio tour. The website WILL be referenced on all promotional information leading up to the event.
  • Your studio will be referenced on the guide map by a unique number that will correspond to a brief description of your type of art along with your studio address, guest artist(s), and contact information.
Artist Participation

1. To qualify for the studio tour, the host artist must be a resident of Fountain Hills and their studio must be located in Fountain Hills. Outisde guest artists are welcome to share resident artist's studio/home but they must be juried and pay all required fees.

2. In an effort to present an unparalleled event, this will be a juried studio exhibition. Artists must submit a Jury Application, enclose a $25.00 check to cover the costs of the jury, and provide four clear photographs of their current art. The jury review will tentatively take place the middle of August 2008.

3. Each studio will be responsible for providing their own refreshments if they chose to do so. Not mandatory.

JURY SUBMISSION:

1. Deadline for packet submission: All applications, photographs, and $25.00 check MUST be submitted no later than August 1, 2008. Submissions received after this date will be considered for participation in the 2010 tour. Mail packets to FHAA, PO Box 19767, Fountain Hills, AZ 85269.

2. On the back of each photograph, print your full name, medium, dimensions, and title.

TOUR PARTICIPATION:

1. FHAA will notify you of acceptance by the jury.

2. The tour fee is $300.00 to help cover the costs of advertising as well as all production costs for maps, brochures, posters, tshirts and tour route transportation.

3. You may invite up to three guest artists to display their work in your studio. They do not need to be residents of Fountain Hills. FHAA must be notified of any guest artists sharing your studio/home for the tour. All guest artists must be juried and pay the $25.00 jury fee and the $300.00 participation fee. A member of FHAA will be visitng all studios periodically to insure tour guidelines have been met.

3. You and your guest artist(s) are required to donate one piece of art for a special sealed bid charity auction that will take place in your studio. FHAA will provide signage that must be displayed with the auction item(s) along with bid/donation cards and a sealed bid drop box.
